Retail Conference Spotlights Consumer Trends

Speakers at the 2008 MPA/IPDA Retail Conference (March 30-April ) will include Yankelovich president and trend-watcher J. Walker Smith speaking on consumer trends driving retail and media changes and Wendy Liebmann of WSL Strategic Retail sharing key findings from her ground-breaking "How America Shops" study.

Liebmann will also report on previously unreleased research on how magazines influence the shopping experience and how retailers can use this to drive revenue and the connection with the consumer.

Topics also include how green initiatives will affect retailers and publishers in the coming months, and how magazine and book distribution will change over the next decade. Ample time has been allotted for one-on-one meetings.
