RDA Teams With ShoptoCook on Supermarket Kiosks; Adds New Edit Sections to Reader’s Digest
Reader’s Digest Association food properties, including Every Day with Rachel Ray, Taste of Home and Allrecipes.com, will be the exclusive content providers on ShoptoCook interactive kiosks in more than 200 grocery stores around the U.S., including Bloom, Schnucks, Spartan Stores, Brookshire and divisions of AholdUSA. Positioned in produce and meat sections, the kiosks will enable shoppers to access and print out recipes, coupons, shopping lists and preparation tips, with the goal of encouraging product cross-sales and increasing market-baskets. RDA will sell product placements to advertisers, incorporating their products in recipes and content.

As of the June issue (on sale May 20th), RDA is also adding new news and service sections to Reader’s Digest, including news digest and news background sections; a new how-to section called “13 Things”; and a guide to “everyday practices around the world."
